Paolini & Sbarbaro SRL also designs and develops specific models reserved for prestigious architectural projects, through aesthetic design solutions and the use of original techniques. An example of a special system is the Gae Aulenti model, a crystal system designed for the Gae Aulenti Architetti Associati studio in Milan, which was also installed at the Stables of Palazzo Altieri in Rome, and in Palatium Vetus in Alessandria.
The project saw a combination of skilful use of crystal, with the strength of steel, creating something with a clean impact, capable of transforming the transit into an elevator into a suggestive experience. Both ascension and descent become a discovery of the architectural beauties of a building, allowing people to truly experience something sensational first-hand.
Another project is the Monocolonna, a system designed and patented by Guglielmo Sbarbaro, co-owner of the company. Despite it being a slender structure, the Monocolonna systemfully complies with all regulations concerning removal of architectural barriers, and can be installed in commercial buildings, public locations, historical buildings, libraries and private buildings. The use of certified materials makes the Monocolonna a design which is also compliant with all anti-seismic adaptation regulations.
